To enter a contest it says I need to ask or answer a question here. I'm not sure if you can really answer this question but I do want some direction with something and this is as good a place to ask as any.
I'm worried about backing up my files. Well, I do save some important stuff here and there on a flash drive, but I want something more secure, I'm thinking of raid. But I'm ignorant about it.
I'm not computer illiterate, I've taught myself to actually build some, but something I've never done is a raid setup... it confuses me the heck out of me! Can someone help me understand how to go about this?
I have a windows 7 based pc, a single harddrive and a dvd drive. No floppy. What in the world do I do? lol I'm not kidding, I don't understand at all how to go about something like this... I probably sound like a complete idiot.
Is there a moron-friendly guide out here somewhere I can look at? Or can someone explain basically how to set up a raid so it backs up my data?
